# Turn every call into structured data with analytics fields

Transcripts are useful to read but hard to act on. Analytics fields turn each call into a row of answers your systems can use.

After a hundred calls, nobody reads a hundred transcripts. What you want is a table: who confirmed, who wants to reschedule, who said the price was too high. Analytics fields give you that table.

## What an analytics field is

An analytics field is a question the platform answers from the transcript after each call, with a type:

Field

Type

Example value

`confirmed`

yes/no

yes

`new_address`

text

Flat 402, Sector 29, Gurugram 122001

`promise_date`

date

2026-10-14

`budget`

choice

1-1.5 Cr

`sentiment`

choice

positive

Each finished call carries these values in the call record, in the webhook you receive and in the CSV export of a campaign.

## Define fields from the decision you'll make

Start from what you'll do with the answer, not from what might be interesting:

- If confirmed, ship the order: `confirmed` (yes/no).
- If the address changed, update it before printing the label: `new_address` (text).
- If the customer promised to pay, wait until that date: `promise_date` (date).

Five to eight fields per agent is plenty. Each one should map to an action or a report.

## Write good field descriptions

The description is the instruction for extraction. Be explicit about edge cases:

> `confirmed`: Yes if the customer clearly agreed to receive the order as cash on delivery. No if they cancelled or refused. Leave empty if the call ended before they answered.

Choice fields with a fixed list of options are more reliable than free text when you'll filter or count them.

## Use them everywhere

- **Webhooks** send the values to your CRM or order system the moment the call ends.
- **Reports** count them across agents and campaigns.
- **Exports** give you a CSV of every call with its answers.

## Check them

For the first week, compare a sample of extracted values with the transcripts. If a field is often wrong, the description is usually ambiguous; tighten it and the next calls improve.
