# Acceptable Use Policy

Last updated: 10 October 2026

This policy is part of our [Terms of Service](https://vaakyo.com/terms) . It applies to every workspace, member, API key and connected app.

## 1\. Telecom rules

- Follow the Telecom Commercial Communications Customer Preference Regulations (TCCCPR) issued by TRAI, and any rules that replace them.
- Don't make promotional calls to numbers registered on the National Customer Preference Register (DND) unless the person has given you explicit consent.
- Use only phone numbers you hold through Vaakyo or are authorised to use, and never spoof or hide the calling number.
- Promotional calls must come from numbers and headers approved for promotional use where the regulations require it.

## 2\. Consent and disclosure

- Call only people you have a lawful reason to contact, and keep records of consent where it's needed.
- Tell people when a call is recorded, where the law requires it.
- Don't let an agent pretend to be a human when asked, or impersonate a real person, a government body or another business.
- Honour opt-outs at once: if someone asks not to be called again, don't call them again.

## 3\. Calling hours

Place outbound commercial calls only between 9:00 AM and 9:00 PM in the recipient's local time, unless they asked to be called outside those hours. Set your agents' calling windows accordingly. Collection calls must also follow the RBI's fair practices code where it applies.

## 4\. Prohibited content and calls

Don't use Vaakyo to:

-   send spam, robocall lists you bought or scraped, or call numbers at random or in sequence;
-   commit fraud, phishing or social engineering, or collect OTPs, passwords, card numbers or UPI PINs;
-   harass, threaten, abuse or intimidate anyone, including during debt collection;
-   promote illegal goods or services, gambling where it's illegal, or adult content;
-   spread misinformation, including about elections, health or emergencies;
-   make calls to emergency services, or place calls that could cause them to be called falsely;
-   discriminate against people on protected grounds, or make decisions with legal effect about them without human review;
- infringe anyone's intellectual property or privacy, or clone a voice without the speaker's permission.

## 5\. Using the platform fairly

- Don't probe, scan or test the Service's security without our written permission, or try to get around limits, verification or billing.
- Don't overload the Service, resell it without an agreement, or use it to build a competing product.
- Keep API keys secret and give connected apps only the access they need.

## 6\. Enforcement

We may review calls, logs and content to check compliance when we have reason to. If we find a breach we may warn you, pause campaigns, release numbers, suspend or close the workspace, and report unlawful activity to the authorities. Serious or repeated breaches lead to closure without refund.

## 7\. Reporting abuse

If you received an unwanted or abusive call placed with Vaakyo, email [hello@vaakyo.com](mailto:hello@vaakyo.com?subject=Abuse%20report) with the number that called you and the date and time. We act on every report.
